Record Year places Henry Walker Homes among Industry’s top 5

Henry Walker Homes has been ranked as one of the top five single-family homebuilders in Utah from the most recent report by Construction Monitor, the leading source of building data for the state of Utah.

In only its first year of business, Henry Walker Homes demonstrated unparalleled success by processing 42 building permits, equaling $9.75 million in value for the last six months of 2010—making the company the fastest growing builder in the state.  This significant ranking was based on the total number of permits reported from June 1 through December 17, 2010.

In less than a year since its first sale, Henry Walker Homes has become one of Utah’s premier homebuilders despite current state of the real estate industry.

“This top ranking demonstrates that Henry Walker Homes has weathered the economic storm, and even grew, as a new company,” said John Stubbs, President of Henry Walker Homes. “The company has a bright future and is quickly emerging as a prominent leader in new home construction, specializing in modern and efficient homes in classic, lifestyle-oriented neighborhoods throughout the state.”

As other homebuilders experienced a dramatic economic shift in residential home building, the Centerville-based company brought a fresh new approach to the industry.  As a business model, Henry Walker Homes purchases distressed land and lots, which allow it to construct new homes for less than the price of a foreclosed home.  Additionally, buyers were able to choose exactly how they wanted their home built, from floor plan layout to paint color—something most distressed homes cannot offer.  Most homebuyers stated they were looking at short sales and foreclosures as part of their home search, but Henry Walker Homes’ pricing and value was better.
