Jack Fisher Homes Announces Southern Utah’s Newest Premier Active Adult Community

CENTERVILLE, Utah, Dec. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Jack Fisher Homes has acquired a large parcel of prime land in southern Utah for the development of an upscale, active-adult community of more than 600 residential units.

This is the company’s first major southern Utah land acquisition since its name change in July. While the name may be new, the principals of Jack Fisher Homes are established homebuilders who founded and later sold the successful Henry Walker Homes.

The Brillo Del Sol master-planned community will be built on 193 acres in the Green Springs area of Washington City. The location offers unparalleled views of the Pine Valley Mountains and the area’s famous red rock vistas.

“The site for Brillo Del Sol is truly incredible,” said Tyler Meyers, Southern Utah Division President of Jack Fisher Homes. “It’s the perfect mix of desert escape and modern convenience.”

The well-situated development will border the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve, Green Springs Golf Course and an extensive regional trail system. In addition, Jack Fisher Homes has set aside 20 acres of land inside the community to be preserved as native open space.

Plans also call for an expansive, 14,500-square-foot community center with several multi-purpose activity rooms, fitness center and indoor pool. Outdoors, Brillo Del Sol will boast a large collection of recreational facilities, including an outdoor pool, eight pickleball courts, two tennis courts, walking trails, playground area, and dog park.

“We’ve listened to what homebuyers want and put everything on that wish list into Brillo Del Sol,” Meyers said. “The outdoor living spaces and wide-ranging amenities will encourage active and social lifestyles.”

Sections of the community are also being reserved for future additions, such as a church, medical clinic, doctor offices and assisted living center. The location already offers easy access to major retail centers in both St. George and Washington.

The entrance to the master-planned community will be located near Buena Vista Boulevard and Main Street in Washington. The majority of the 610 residential units will be single-family homes on full-sized lots or patio lots; the remaining units will be townhomes.

Jack Fisher Homes purchased the land from the School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration—which will use the $8.8 million in proceeds to benefit Utah’s public school students. The funds will be deposited into the Permanent School Fund that holds approximately $2 billion. Last year, the trust account distributed nearly $40 million in interest and dividends to schools across the state.

“Acquiring this land is a win-win situation for public schools and the southern Utah economy,” said Colin Wright, managing partner of Jack Fisher Homes. “We are excited to break ground on Brillo Del Sol and get to work on this innovative community.”
